1. What Mode 2 Charging Adds
Mode 2 charging improves on Mode 1 by adding an In-Cable Control and Protection Device (IC-CPD) into the cable itself. This allows the charging cable to plug into a standard wall socket — usually a Schuko or BS 1363 outlet — while integrating basic safety functions such as temperature monitoring and earth leakage protection.
Our IC-CPD is equipped with Type A 30 mA + DC 6 mA residual current protection, meeting EU requirements and keeping Mode 2 charging safe on ordinary home sockets.

2. One Kit, Two Charging Modes
The same integrated kit can also be used as a Mode 3 charging cable. One small function box stays compatible with 3.5 kW, 7 kW, 11 kW and 22 kW charging — matched to the plug and supply in front of you — with multi-purpose use scenarios for end users, at home and in commercial settings.

3. Wall Plug Options for Every Socket
Fixed-plug versions ship with a UK 13 A or Schuko 16 A plug, and NEMA 5-15 is available for North America. Our new replaceable-plug solution goes further: swap the wall plug to match the socket — UK 13 A, 16 A Schuko, 16 A blue CEE and 32 A blue CEE are all available for everyday and emergency use.
