Many EV chargers in Europe does not have a cable but only a socket. A separate electric vehicle charging cable is needed to connect the charging station and the electric vehicle- Type 2 to type 2 EV Charging Cable. If the charger is type 2 ( Europe charging standard), the car is Type 1 or NACS( USA charging standard). then you need a Type 2 to Type 1 EV Charging cable to connect the charger and the car. If the car is GB/T standard( Chinese charging standard). upi meed a Type 2 to GBT cable to connect the charger and the car.
Besides different charging standards, you also need to know how to choose the appropriate cable power. For Type2 to Type2 EV Charging Cable, there are 4 different powers, 1 phase 16A - 3.7kw, 1 phase 32A - 7.4kw, 3 phase 32A - 11kw, 3 Phase 32A - 22kw. For example. If your charger is 7kw, and your car max support AC charging power is 11kw. Which power of cable should you choose?
The answer will surprise you. None of the cable is very suitable but 1 phase 16A is the most cost-effective cable.
If choose 1 phase 16A 3.7kw cable, the charging power will be 3.7kw. If choose1 phase 32A 7.4kw cable, the charging power will still be 3.7kw. Because you car charging power is 11kw, which means the max current is 16A, and your charger is 7.4kw, which means it is 1 phase, the logic behind electric vehicle charging power is based on the "barrel theory," operating with the lowest possible value between the number of phases and the current. So charger is 1 phase and car is 3 phase, then it only works on 1 phase when charging, the charger is 32A and the car is 16A, then it only works on 16A, 1 phase plug 16A means the charging power max is 3.7kw. So when you choose a suitable charging power cable for you car, also remember to choose a right EV charger for your car.
The remaining considerations are warranty, price, and the cross-sectional area of the cable's core wires. Generally the warranty is 2 years, and the core wires of the cable for 16A is at least 2.5²mm. And for 32A, it is at least 6²mm. This will ensure that your cable does not overheat and burn out.
All EVSEClub EV charging Cables provide 2 years warranty and never get 1 burn complaint.

Make sure your understand of these logic before buying an EV Charging Cable, if you still do not understand, welcome to contact us, we are glad to help you to choose.
